Why Behold Exists
We are here to educate and serve.
The plant medicine space has grown rapidly over the past decade and while that growth has brought real healing to thousands of people (and we love to see that), it has also brought uncertainty, inconsistent practices, and spaces not fully equipped to partake in these practices. Furthermore, as we live through global pandemics, wars, and in general events that put significant pressure on our mental health, we truly believe there is an alternative way to experiencing life and we are witnessing first hand the rising of human consciousness. We are here to encourage that growth.
At Behold, we are here to educate and serve. If you decide that we are the retreat for you, we will take care of your journey with the utmost care and diligence.
What We Do
Build a container which creates an environment where your soul feels safe enough to open.
We hand select every detail, test, and align every single part of your ceremony to ensure your safety and your expansion. We take our work very seriously and lead with a lot of love.
Our guests come to us at the beginning of their journey, often their first ceremony, and we walk alongside them from application through integration. That includes the complimentary Discovery Call, thorough medical and psychological screening, a structured preparation program, the retreat itself, and dedicated integration support in the weeks and months that follow. The journey is more than the retreat. The journey is everything that surrounds it, and we hold every part of it ourselves.

Behold - The Beginning
Behold Retreats offers safe, expert-guided experiences with plant medicine for personal growth and healing. This is where most people first encounter us, where you apply, speak to a guide, and prepare for a life-changing retreat. The space you arrive in is part of a living, breathing community.
Resonance - The Space
Located in Costa Rica, Resonance is a co-living, co-working, and healing center that blends ancient wisdom with modern consciousness practices. Think of it as the soil Behold is rooted in. A physical and energetic space dedicated to personal evolution, artistic expression, and collective care. From ceremonies and cultural events to word circles, movement workshops, and support for those seeking to plant roots in Costa Rica, Resonance provides the wider setting for many of our Costa Rica retreats.
Sovereignty Alliance - The Giving Back
Working alongside Resonance is the Sovereignty Alliance Foundation, a community-led initiative dedicated to preserving ancestral wisdom and empowering Indigenous communities through land, food, water, and spiritual sovereignty. Their work includes reforestation campaigns focused on the preservation, propagation, and sustainable use of entheogenic plant medicines, alongside cultural exchanges and legal frameworks that protect sacred traditions. Their efforts uphold the very roots that plant medicine springs from, and your retreat supports that vision.

Behold is the work of a global team of facilitators, healers, medical advisors, and guest support professionals who have given their lives to this space. Our facilitators bring decades of combined experience across ceremonial practice, clinical psychology, and integration work. Each member of our team has been personally vetted for the care, integrity, and expertise this work requires.
Danny Yepez, Co-CEO
The visionary force behind the Behold ecosystem. A Venezuelan-born entrepreneur who grew up in the US and has moved between the worlds of sustainable energy, global business, and now human consciousness. Danny leads Resonance, the Sovereignty Alliance Foundation, and Behold Retreats as three expressions of the same mission: to preserve ancestral wisdom, protect sacred traditions, and guide people toward the deepest work of their lives. His own transformative experience with plant medicine reshaped his understanding of what change requires and that insight has shaped everything he has built since.
Sarah Lynn Thomas, Co-CEO
Sarah is the heart of how Behold operates. She brings a rare combination of business discipline (coming from a background in finance) and a deep commitment to community-driven growth shaped by years of global volunteerism. Her influence is felt across every layer of the company: in the ethical framework that guides facilitator selection, in the guest care protocols that begin from the first application, and in the long-term relationships Behold maintains with its alumni community. Guests and team members alike know Sarah for her warmth, her steady presence, and her ability to say the right words at the right moment. She leads with a constant smile we all love.
Christopher Wesolick, Guest Success Guide
Christopher brings over a decade of passionate commitment to transformational work, shaped by his experience as an Admissions Director for a residential addiction recovery center, years of facilitation training, co-leading transformational retreats, and his own work with sacred plant medicines. He believes the journey begins long before ceremony. From the very first conversation, Christopher brings enthusiasm, experience, and deep respect for the process, helping every guest feel informed, prepared, and genuinely excited for the journey ahead.
